SERVICES

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, we’ll take things at a pace that works for you, exploring what’s really going on—whether it’s those old patterns that don’t seem to budge or the more immediate challenges you’re facing.

Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, we’ll work together to create a space where both of you can openly express yourselves and feel truly heard. Relationships often go through rough patches, and it’s completely normal to feel disconnected or stuck at times.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is about creating a space where everyone in the family can share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences—where we can all explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy encompasses a variety of treatment approaches aimed at helping individuals, couples, families, or groups identify, explore, and address challenging emotions, thoughts, relational dynamics, and behavioral patterns.

The primary goal of psychotherapy is to enhance mental well-being, strengthen relationships, improve daily functioning, and elevate overall quality of life.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is fundamental to therapy. Everything you share is kept private in accordance with professional and ethical guidelines. The only exceptions are if there’s a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or if required by law.

If it’s helpful and with your consent, I may contact your GP, psychiatrist, or other healthcare professionals to ensure our work is well-coordinated and supports your overall care.

How long is a session?

Sessions are generally 60 minutes long, with the option of 90-minute sessions for couples and families to allow for deeper exploration.

How often should sessions be?

The frequency of therapy sessions is guided by your unique needs, goals, and circumstances.

- Weekly Sessions:
Typically recommended at the start of therapy to build momentum and address challenges consistently. This approach is ideal for navigating acute issues or achieving structured progress toward specific goals.

- Fortnightly or Monthly Sessions:
These are well-suited for clients who have made significant progress and wish to maintain positive changes. They’re also a great fit for those working on less pressing concerns, such as self-exploration, identity work, or enhancing communication.

- As-Needed Sessions:
Some clients prefer scheduling sessions on an as-needed basis, particularly toward the later stages of therapy or as a way to sustain their progress over time.

Therapy is a flexible process tailored to your individual journey. While some clients may benefit from short-term therapy to address specific concerns, others find long-term support valuable for deeper, more complex challenges.

How long is therapy for?

The duration of psychotherapy varies greatly from person to person. Some individuals find significant relief after just a few sessions, while others may require more time, especially when addressing complex or long-standing challenges. Many clients choose to continue with monthly or biweekly sessions to maintain their progress and further work toward their goals.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, I currently work exclusively online.

Online therapy offers the convenience of accessing sessions from the comfort of your home or any place where you feel most at ease, saving time and eliminating the need to commute.

It can be particularly beneficial for those in remote areas, individuals with mobility challenges, those with busy schedules, or families wishing to attend together from different locations.

While many clients find it easier to open up in their own space, enhancing the therapeutic process, online therapy may not be suitable for everyone. Some might prefer or require in-person sessions. If you're unsure, I recommend trying an online session to see how it feels before making a final decision.

How can I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by contacting me via email dkeenadiid.therapy@gmail.com

How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

I recommend a free initial consultation so we can discuss your needs and expectations. This session helps us both get a sense of each other, and decide if I’m the right fit for you.

Do you work with diverse cultural or relational contexts?

Yes, I am committed to working sensitively with clients from diverse cultural, social, and relational backgrounds. Your unique context will be respectfully considered and integrated into our work together.

What are your fees, and do you offer sliding-scale options?

My fees are as follows:

  • Individual sessions: £85 per hour

  • Couple sessions: £110 per hour

  • Family therapy sessions: £135 per hour

I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions for those experiencing financial difficulties. Please feel free to contact me confidentially to discuss your circumstances and whether this option may be available.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged at the full session rate
